Ingredients
  

  • 8 cups apple cider
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tablespoon whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 lemon sliced
  • Optional: 1/4 cup brandy or rum for an adult version

Instructions
 

  • Combine apple cider, orange juice, and pineapple juice in a large pot.
  • Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, ginger, and nutmeg to the pot.
  • Add the lemon slices to the pot.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
  • Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • If desired, stir in brandy or rum before serving.
  • Strain the Wassail to remove the spices and lemon slices.
  • Serve warm.

  • Use fresh juices for the best flavor.
  • Adjust the spices to your preference.
  • Simmering for longer intensifies the flavors.
