- 1 ripe cantaloupe or honeydew melon cut into 1-inch cubes
- 6 ounces thinly sliced prosciutto
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
- Wooden skewers
Thread a cube of melon onto each skewer, followed by a piece of prosciutto. Fold the prosciutto as needed to create an attractive presentation.
In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and honey. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook until reduced by half and slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Let it cool slightly.
Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the skewers. Garnish with fresh basil leaves. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Use cantaloupe, honeydew, or a mix for color contrast
- You can prep everything ahead, just assemble close to serving
- If you’re out of honey, maple syrup works too
- Use metal skewers if you're avoiding disposables
- Want it spicy? Add a pinch of cayenne to the glaze
- For a heartier bite, add mini mozzarella balls
