Irish Coffee Recipe - The Perfect Pick-Me-Up

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup freshly brewed hot coffee
  • 1 1/2 oz Irish whiskey
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar white sugar or honey as substitutes
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream lightly whipped
  • Coffee beans or cocoa powder for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Brew a fresh cup of hot coffee.
  • Add brown sugar to a heatproof glass or mug and pour in the hot coffee. Stir until dissolved.
  • Stir in the Irish whiskey.
  • Gently float the lightly whipped cream on top by pouring it over the back of a spoon.
  • Garnish with coffee beans or a sprinkle of cocoa powder. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Gluten-free.
  • Best enjoyed in fall and winter.
  • Use freshly brewed coffee for the best flavor.
  • Whipped cream should be lightly whipped to float properly.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
