- 6-8 boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil.
Sear the chicken thighs for about 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Add the cornstarch and water, and whisk until smooth.
Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
Return the chicken thighs to the skillet and coat them with the sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, until heated through.
Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve hot with rice or your favorite sides.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently.
