- 200 g dark chocolate 70% cocoa or higher
- 1 cup 240ml heavy whipping cream
Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and melt it using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Reserve a few tablespoons for garnish if desired.
Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream until fully combined and smooth.
Divide the mousse into serving glasses and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
Serve chilled, topped with additional whipped cream or chocolate shavings if desired.
- For a sweeter mousse, add 1-2 tablespoons of powdered sugar while whipping the cream.
