Ingredients

  • 200 g dark chocolate 70% cocoa or higher
  • 1 cup 240ml heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  • Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and melt it using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
  • Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Reserve a few tablespoons for garnish if desired.
  • Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream until fully combined and smooth.
  • Divide the mousse into serving glasses and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
  • Serve chilled, topped with additional whipped cream or chocolate shavings if desired.

Notes

  • For a sweeter mousse, add 1-2 tablespoons of powdered sugar while whipping the cream.
  • Storage: Keeps in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Double the batch – You’ll thank yourself later!
  • For extra smoothness, strain the melted chocolate before folding it in.
  • Want it extra fancy? Serve in martini glasses with chocolate curls.
